The Bedside Chronicles: A Day at Giverny with Mum

Let me tell you about taking my gorgeous mum to Monet's gardens! "That quite good artist fella" (I say with tongue firmly in cheek) might have been decent with a paintbrush, but his garden game? Next level!

Picture this: July 15th, 2024. Mum's first instruction—"Take photos of EVERYTHING!" Challenge accepted! I documented every moment, from her stepping out of our car to her wandering the gardens in the rain (speaking of rain, I bought an umbrella that vanished into thin air, probably hanging out with all my lost hair ties).

The gardens? Imagine organised chaos at its finest. There are no neat rows here - everything mingles like guests at the best garden party ever. And all this right outside his bedroom window! No wonder he got tetchy when it rained and wanted to paint - mate, open the window; you designed a masterpiece!

It was breathtaking despite the crowds (how dare other people visit on our day!). 120+ photos later, I've set myself a challenge—to paint every single shot. Here's my first attempt at capturing that magic.

Because yes, I bang on about fibre, but a creative soul is hiding under all that gut health chat!
